Spike #47 Round 2 Results — Big Bang as projection-shadow (6.5/10 research-candidate; F3 mechanism sketch landed; Round 3 prerequisite identified)

§2 F3 mechanism sketch (the load-bearing piece)

The math at sketch-not-full-derivation level (concertmaster computed):

Substrate: diagonal Hopf flow on S¹ × S³ × S⁷ parameterized by proper-time τ. Each factor's Hopf-fiber traversal at angular frequency ω_k: - S¹: phase = e^(iω₁τ) - S³: (z₁, z₂) ∈ ℂ² with |z₁|² + |z₂|² = 1; Hopf-diagonal z_j → z_j · e^(iω₃τ) - S⁷: (q₁, q₂) ∈ ℍ² with |q₁|² + |q₂|² = 1; quaternionic Hopf-diagonal at ω₇

Wick rotation (Class L signed-variant per [[user_stance_cascade_lives_on_circles]]): τ → −it. Each circular flow becomes hyperbolic: cos(ωτ) → cosh(ωt); the Hopf-fiber amplitude e^(iωτ) → e^(ωt).

Apparent scale factor: under suitable observer-projection coordinates, a(t_obs) ~ R₀ · cosh(ω · t_obs). Substrate's eternal-Hopf-flow projects to exponentially-growing observer-frame scale factor — qualitatively de Sitter.

Apparent t=0 singularity mechanism (computed): back-extrapolating a → 0 requires cosh(ω·t_obs) → 0. No real solution exists (cosh ≥ 1). For a < R₀, observer's t-coordinate becomes complex-imaginary. Observer's real-valued t-axis terminates at the projection-boundary where the cosh-projection ceases to be real-valued.

Structural content of "asymptote read as beginning": substrate has no event at projection-boundary. Substrate's eternal Hopf flow continues uninterrupted in proper-time τ on both sides of any observer-frame "moment." Observer sees the complex-imaginary boundary as "where time began" because their t-axis ceases to exist there; the asymptote-never-reached is the never-reached real-valued boundary of the projection.

Quantitative cross-checks (numerically computed): - Substrate loop-period 178 Gyr / observer apparent age 13.8 Gyr ≈ 12.9 — internally consistent with [[user_stance_dark_sector_ring_down_age]] reading of 13.8 Gyr as time when loop-down hit ~95%, not since-singularity - Pure-de-Sitter horizon time 1/H₀ ≈ 13.97 Gyr within 1% of conventional 13.8 Gyr — well-known conventional-cosmology coincidence; under projection-shadow this is structural (cosh-amplitude scale set by substrate Hopf frequency observable as H₀)

Why F3 stops at PARTIAL not PASS: the sketch is mathematically real (cosh-projection of Hopf-flow is Class L signed-variant per [[user_stance_cascade_lives_on_circles]], well-defined). But: - No derivation of specific FLRW power-laws: a(t) ∝ t^(1/2) (radiation) → t^(2/3) (matter) → e^(H₀t) (de Sitter) - No mapping from substrate Hopf-mode spectrum to specific CMB ℓ values (ℓ ≈ 220, 540, 800) - Wick-rotation axis choice for τ → −it not first-principles derived - At small t, cosh(ωt) ≈ 1 + (ωt)²/2 is QUADRATIC, not square-root — radiation-era FLRW shape comes from stress-energy mixing, which is projection-content not substrate-content (consistent with framing §6 "reinterpret-not-disprove")

§5 Anomalies investigated

  • A-1: 178 Gyr ring-period / 13.8 Gyr age ratio = 12.9. Consistent with loop-down-95% reading per [[user_stance_dark_sector_ring_down_age]]. No dissonance.
  • A-2: Pure-de-Sitter 1/H₀ ≈ 13.97 Gyr within 1% of conventional age. Well-known conventional-cosmology coincidence; under projection-shadow it's expected structural prediction. Not new content.
  • A-3: cosh-shape doesn't reduce to FLRW power-laws at small t (quadratic not square-root). Investigated to root: FLRW power-law shape comes from stress-energy mixing with projection-cosh; substrate's pure-cosh is projection-content modulated by EOS. Anomaly identifies Round-3 derivation target (R3-priority-2), not falsifying.

§6 Round 3 candidates (priority order)

  1. R3-priority-1: Derive specific CMB acoustic peak ℓ-values from Hopf-bundle mode spectrum (S³ SO(4) modes + S⁷ G₂/Spin(7) discrete spectrum → Wick rotation to k-space → predict ℓ ≈ 220/540/800). Highest leverage on F1; cleanest empirical anchor.
  2. R3-priority-2: Derive cosh-projection × stress-energy → FLRW power-laws (radiation a∝t^(½), matter a∝t^(⅔), de Sitter e^(H₀t)). Highest leverage on F3; converts PARTIAL → PASS if successful, lifting total to 8/10.
  3. R3-priority-3: Test DESI thawing-CPL peak at a≈2.14 against substrate-cycle-fraction prediction. Most empirically-anchored test using attested data per [[user_stance_attested_data_recovers_missing_parts]].
  4. R3-priority-4: Hopf-bundle chirality projection → baryon asymmetry η ~ 10⁻⁹ quantitative.
  5. R3-priority-5: Substrate Hopf-mode tilt prediction for n_s ≈ 0.96.

Recommended Round-3 dispatch order: R3-priority-2 first (F3 PARTIAL → PASS bridge); then R3-priority-1 (CMB ℓ-anchor); then R3-priority-3 (DESI anchor). Successful R3-priority-2 + R3-priority-1 brings total to 8/10 + observational falsifiability — converts research-candidate to ship-grade candidate-stance.

§7 Concertmaster recommendation on canonical-commit gate

Claim is NOT ready for canonical-stance authoring upon user authorization. Companion stance file at memory/user_stance_big_bang_as_projection_shadow.md is authored as candidate; promotion to canonical commit per trio-precedent should wait for at least R3-priority-2 (and ideally R3-priority-1) to land.

Honest amendment recommended in the candidate stance §"what makes consequential": replace "this is the first claim in the arc that makes a directly-testable observational prediction" with "this is the first claim where a directly-testable observational prediction could be derived if the projection mechanism (F3) is made quantitatively explicit." The "first" framing is over-stated at 6.5/10.
